Shared Joy is Doubled Joy

We are just in awe at all the sweet notes and comments you all have sent our way this week. Truly. Blown away. In debating on whether or not to share our news (Ok, seriously. Let's talk about this. I can't keep a secret to save my life and everybody who knows me and loves me knows that) I ran across this quote:

"Shared joy is a double joy; shared sorrow is a half sorrow".

I couldn't agree more. Sharing stories (and waaaay too much info) in the past has only shown us more and more of God's grace in our lives. We share the good, the bad, and the ugly. We have the most amazing group of friends and family who have cheered us on through a million highs and lows and we just can't say thank you enough. Sharing this great big JOY has been oh so much fun!

I feel a tad bit rotten with this sweet baby. But I love it. Every time I feel like I am going to hurl, I get to thank God and praise Him for giving (absolutely giving) us this baby. What a humbling experience this has already proven to be.

In the midst of our excitement, I totally forgot to post our beach pictures. Mimi and I scooted off to Gulf Shores last weekend to visit with Uncle Al and Aunt Irene. It was complete beach bliss.
Coop grew up overnight there. Must have been all that diggin.

Lovin' his Aunt Irene!
Love this little booger so much I can hardly stand it!

Lent

We retired the diaper bag this week. And started looking into big boy beds for Super Coop. Oh, and gave up stressing about trying for Baby D for Lent. It's silly, I know. But it was time to let it go. 40 days. No meds, no charting, no tee teeing on sticks. I am serious. Let. It. Go.

That was on a Wednesday.

On Friday, ridiculously TWO days later...

"He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more!" Job 9:10, Psalms 71:14

Praises praises praises!!

Cartwheels! Happy dancing! Arm flapping! Shrieking!

I had several more crazy wacko black-out moments. We knew something was up. I was either having mini strokes OR Doodle Bug was officially ON BOARD! 14 home pregnancy tests (ok, I totally went against the Lent rules) and two trips to the Sermonator later, and low and behold God has graciously answered our prayers.

We're about 7 weeks now. Waayyy too early to be tellin', but we all know I can't keep a secret to save my life. Seeing that tiny heart beating away on the ultrasound screen was like seeing the face of God. I stared and stared and stared, sang praises, and jumped right off that exam table and gave Dr. Sermons a great big hug. Awkward, I know. Here we sit less than two years post Chris' diagnosis and God has once again shown us his unfailing mercy.

We are in absolute awe. Absolute.

"A longing fulfilled, is sweet to the soul.." Proverbs 13:19

Lull

Um, he is his Daddy. Mini Chris if I ever did see one.
We've been in a blogcoma lately.

Yesterday we saddled up and headed over to Lason's 4th Birthday Bash! It was a BLAST! There was a tractor pull, a waterin hole, a corn pit, a jumpy house, a pinata, and John Deere tractors galore.
Lason, is a CUTIE PIE! He was so busy at his party, I didn't even get to snap his picture, but just look at him!
He has the absolute best personality.  He's a hoot. He will crack you in in 2.2 seconds flat. Cute, cute, cute!

Coop fell in love with the corn pit. I'm talking, in love.
He wouldn't even come out for cake. He had tractor races to organize.
We were tickled to spend the day with Cousin Ludi Mae. She especially loved tearing into the candy after everyone took a smack at the tractor pinata.
Such a fun fun day!
Up next, is this precious baby boy's big day!
We are going to the beach this week (wooo!), so sadly we are going to miss his big bash (boooo!), but I can't wait to hear all about it. So hard to believe a year has already passed. Happy birthday sweet Sawyer!!!
