I am so excited I can hardly stand it!
Back to Dr. Sermons this morning and while I secretly feared hearing him say the words "lets just give this one more week!", the appointment went anything but like that...
I had a moment of realization last night. Never having been pregnant before, I had NO idea the feeling of impatience that washes over you as you hit your due date. Seriously. Whoa nelly. I was feeling so anxious and ready to have this baby when I stopped dead in my tracks and reminded myself that I am not in control and contrary to my little Type A belief, that is actually a-ok.
Enter huge faith moment. I started to pray for God to take away all of my anxiety and to change my "I-need-to-have-this-baby-right-now-right-this-very-second" attitude. I must have whispered the prayer 20 times before I fell asleep. I whispered it all the way down to Dunwoody this morning and again as I sat in my skibbees and paper towel-sized paper skirt awaiting Dr. Sermons.
What an awesome reminder of what it means to "be still and wait".
In he came and promptly announced that we will be admitted to Northside on Thursday afternoon and welcome our sweet baby boy sometime before Friday.
So there ya have it.
You let go, you let God and the rest is just details.
We are absolutely counting down the minutes until we get to come face to face with Baby Cooper, hold him in our arms, and love him like crazy. What an incredible journey!
